Therapeutic areas

Focused where modern medicine can change outcomes.

Cytolix concentrates on therapies Nepal must still import, that require controlled handling and specialist engagement, and where dependable access has not yet caught up with patient need.

01

Oncology

Nepal records over 20,500 new cancer cases each year, and cancer is among the leading causes of death from non-communicable disease. Treatment capacity has grown, but the supply of therapy has not kept pace: the regulator has issued repeated public notices on the availability of cancer medicines and platinum-group agents.

Cytotoxic and biological products are stored and transported under controlled conditions with continuous temperature monitoring where required, and delivered directly to oncology treatment centres and hospital pharmacies.

What we handle

  • Injectable cytotoxic and targeted therapies
  • Oral oncology
  • Oncology biosimilars
  • Hormonal therapies
  • Supportive care — antiemetics, growth factors and related

02

Nephrology & Transplant

Chronic kidney disease is where this company began. Our founder has spent more than fifteen years working with Nepal’s CKD patient community, and that work gives us an unusually direct understanding of what this population needs and what it can afford.

Dialysis capacity in Nepal has expanded substantially. The supporting pharmacology — renal anaemia therapy, phosphate binders, transplant immunosuppression — has not expanded with it at accessible prices.

What we handle

  • Erythropoiesis-stimulating agents and iron therapies
  • Phosphate binders and mineral-bone disorder therapy
  • Dialysis solutions and supporting products
  • Transplant immunosuppressants and induction therapy

03

Hospital & Critical Care

Critical care is where supply failure is least tolerable. These products move through institutional channels, are bought on tender as often as on order, and require a distributor who can hold stock reliably rather than opportunistically.

What we handle

  • ICU and emergency medicines
  • Large-volume parenterals and infusion products
  • High-potency and reserve antibiotics
  • Anaesthetics and neuromuscular agents

04

Chronic Disease Management

Non-communicable disease now accounts for the majority of deaths in Nepal. Chronic therapy is a volume business rather than a specialty one, but the same requirement applies: continuity of supply matters more than price, because a patient who cannot refill a prescription stops treatment.

What we handle

  • Cardiology
  • Advanced diabetes care
  • Neurology

05

Specialty & Orphan Medicines

Small patient populations are the hardest to serve commercially and the easiest to overlook. Nepal has designated categories of orphan and neglected-disease medicines for facilitated handling, which makes these products more accessible to register than their volumes would suggest. We treat that as an obligation rather than an opportunity.

What we handle

  • High-value niche medicines
  • Orphan and rare-disease products
  • Specialised bio-therapeutics
